THIS IS MY Voice!!

 

Hey, everybody! You know who I am so far just because I write about music, the Bible and dating. (I also used to write about fitness. Rating were a little low and info was scarce.) Anyway, this is my voice. This is my time. I need to start talking about what bothers me and about what I love all the time.

 

You see, today, I just realized civilians aren't allowed to be heroes as a part of a organization, such as a Volunteer Fire Dept. without being first qualified as one of the following: In a post-secondary school system studying fire science or other related major and the school is willing to take responsibility for the students insurance, already part of an emergency response organization such as NEMA, part of a local fire dept, or has insurance of someone who has served such as a veteran. Why can't everyday people put themselves in harms way just to save a little girl or an elderly woman from a burning building? I know that if I wasn't able to do anything, and was to young to know any better about such things, and I was in an apt on the top floor of the apt building, I would want someone, even if it's not a firefighter, to break bown the door and rescue me, if the building was indeed on fire. Wouldn't you guys? Because when it all comes down to it. Is the hero that day, the people who tried to put out the fire or the homeless guy who I would share py PB&J with that ran up 9 flights of stairs and into a blazing three stories of flame to save one little boy from the very top floor? You tell me, who's the hero in that?
